Is it okay if all participating members are complete beginners in both SUP and marine sports?

Yes, that’s perfectly fine. Rest assured.
We offer programs designed to ensure that even those who have never been involved in marine sports or are trying them for the first time can enjoy them safely and comfortably.

What kind of attire is recommended for participation? Is a swimsuit necessary?

We do not allow participation with only the upper body bare. Please wear clothing such as T-shirts or rash guards.
A swimsuit is not necessary, but please bring attire that can get wet.

What items should I bring?

Please bring the following items:

  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Marine shoes (or beach sandals)
  • Drinking water

We also recommend bringing sunscreen during the summer to protect against sunburn.

Is it okay if I wear glasses or contact lenses?

Glasses and sunglasses may fall into the water and sink, so we recommend using glasses straps to secure them.
For contact lenses, we suggest using disposable types as a precaution.

Can I do SUP even in winter?

Yes, you can do SUP in winter. The experience fee includes the rental of a wetsuit.

Can I participate if I cannot swim?

Yes, you can participate without any problems.
You can stay afloat even if you can’t swim by wearing a life jacket (buoyancy aid). Additionally, the SUP board, which is connected to your feet with a leash, can serve as a flotation device. An instructor will also be present at all times, so you can feel assured.

I’ve been inactive lately. Is that okay?

Yes, you can participate without any issues.
SUP is a marine sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, including those who haven’t been active recently. It’s great for improving core strength, and many people find it beneficial for weight loss and addressing a lack of exercise.

Are there any health conditions or requirements for participation?

Individuals with heart conditions, certain illnesses, pregnant women, those who are hungover, or those who are severely sleep-deprived are not permitted to participate.

Can I participate while drinking alcohol?

For safety reasons, participation while under the influence of alcohol is not allowed.
However, we occasionally host public viewings, so you can enjoy a drink after your SUP session while watching soccer!

Will the session be canceled in case of bad weather such as rain?

In the case of light rain, the session will generally proceed as planned. However, if there are heavy rain, strong winds, or high tides that affect the river conditions, the session will be canceled.
If cancellation occurs, we will notify you by 5:00 PM the day before.
If the weather conditions are difficult to judge, we will discuss the situation with the representative of the participants to make a decision.
Additionally, please be aware that if severe weather (such as storms or lightning) occurs during the program, we may suspend or cancel the session for safety reasons.

What is the policy for canceling participation?

Do you offer rental for SUP equipment only?

We do not offer rental of SUP equipment only. For safety reasons, participation is only available through instructor-led programs.

The program is targeted for high school students and older. Is participation possible for those younger than high school age?

The program is generally for high school students and older. However, if a parent or guardian is participating in the program, middle school students and elementary school students (3rd grade and up) can also join.

I don’t have a wetsuit. Can I still participate?

Wetsuits are available for rent during the winter season only.

Yes, there are changing rooms available.

We have changing rooms for both men and women. You can change in the changing rooms or shower rooms before and after the SUP experience. Lockers are also available for storing your belongings.

Is there a hot water shower available?

Hot water showers are available in the changing rooms.
※Shampoo and body soap are not provided. If you wish to use them, please bring your own.

Can I store my valuables?

Please store your belongings in the lockers. Valuables should be managed by yourself.
